You have holes to scrape on the walls of the rooms in your home, and this ghastly appearance is detracting from the decor of your dreams. You want to bring a magical hue and paint to the interior of your home, but you’ve come up against excavations that may cause your furniture to lose its shine upstream. You are thus, in the embarrassment to choose a thickness, filling perfectly the cavities, and which corresponds adequately to the selected insulation. What is the best thickness that should be chosen for the insulation of your interior walls and

exterior walls? And what insulation works perfectly with the different excavations that exist?

Insulation thickness: how to choose the right thickness for wall insulation?

The type of material used for the insulation of your walls depends initially on the facade of which the operation is about. A thick formula material is preferred when it comes to filling the external face, while a thin one remains the most effective when an internal wall is involved.

However, the thickness is not considered as the only criterion on which to base your process. The efficiency of your insulation process carries great importance, and it is totally equivalent to the performance required. The cost of the insulation is also always a wise aspect before proceeding with any operation. Regarding the surface area that can be lost when a large-scale operation of this kind takes place, this is often your choice. The need for wall insulation will directly affect your choice of thickness, but first let’s ask, what are the actual sizes required for each type

of holes? And what are the real variables that can influence this choice?

What thickness of insulation to choose to keep your walls looking perfect?

It is advisable to always opt for insulation that has the best ratio thickness/thermal performance. The insulation used in the process of insulating your interior and exterior walls is always determined by a lot of factors, the most important is the characteristics of which the material involved in the operation is formed. The thickness of insulation is often joined to the resistance of temperature flows and thermal resistance.

Here are the ideal sizes for each type of material required:

  • For an insulation thickness approached by glass wool, uapproximate value is between 120 and 160 mm is to be recommended;
  • for an insulation thickness ofa rock wool is used, a thinner material, a value interval of 125 to 165 mm is widely preferred;
  • for an insulation thickness of 180 mm, a recycled cotton blend, mixed with wood wool is favorably advised.
